Cut the foam roll to a length just shorter than the plastic window. No need to unzip the window any more! Undo the catches of the roof and press the roll to the middle of the window on the outside as shown. Keep pushing it in as the top is let down, making sure the rear screen does not crease.
It should fold neatly around the foam as shown, and will not crease, stretch or mark. Opening or closing the roof takes about 10 seconds. Excessive use of the zip is also avoided. (The zip can get weak from frequent use.)
