Comments:
1.6 available from 1989 to 1993. 1.8 available for 1993 to 1998. Some have hardtops with soft top underneath. Manual roof easy to operate but rear perspex screen needs to be unzipped to avoid damage.
1.6 feels as fast as 1.8 (Though on paper it is not) Great reliability. Only problem is that hoods on older cars can get worn and rear screens can need replacement. Excellent handling and great fun to drive. Runs on regular unleaded and will give in excess of 30 mpg. Even 1989 cars can be in great condition. Autos are nice but lack the feel and involvement of the manual.
V-Special models have leather interior, tan plastic, chrome speakers and CD player.
Watch out for worn hoods and go for unmodified cars.
